Cool cities

Since the industrial revolution started many problems have appeared in association with the economic development of modern cities. One Solution is to build environmentally friendly cities.

The problems of modern cities are the emissions of CO2 and GHG. Most of the emissions are coming from transportation and buildings by (90%). The traffic and increasing population and cooling systems in shopping malls and most of buildings also contribute to G.W. Industrial plants also emit CO2 in large amount and their waste goes to sewage and harms the environment. For sure we don’t have more than one planet and we should protect it.

Solutions for these problems are to control the emissions by saving energy and acting against traffic problems .A main solution appears is to be building environmentally friendly cities (cool cities). These cities are designed to reduce GHG emissions and reducing energy by using the latest technologies. The energy is produced by using solar farms without using any fossil fuels. The transportation is without emissions because of the use of hybrid cars, and taxis using hydrogen. The buildings also use natural air, light and water and numerous compelling environmental technologies to reduce CO2 emissions. These cities can reduce CO2 by 60%.

I think that these cities are the solution for the environmental issues, but can everybody live there? Many people might not adapt, because of their lifestyle and the number of people to live there is limited (Salama, The National). So, I believe that convincing people to change their style of life is more important but there is no harm to try these cities, and to develop the technology for all to use.
